Ugh.

Yesterday was a tough day. Lots of intestinal discomfort and disfunction.

I talked with Dr. Kumar. He said to stop taking the medication for a few days and then resume at a lower dose.

I find myself thinking constantly about myself, my condition. My gut is almost always uncomfortable, but sometimes I can be distracted, like when Judy and I played Monopoly with the kids on Sunday evening. Then I at least don't notice it as much.

Tomorrow I meet with my counselor, John Lynch. I expect to spend a good part of the time talking about fear.

Hi Jimmy, What you are feeling is totally natural for the unnatural
state your body is in right now. I know I am repeating myself, but if you can hang on a little longer you will feel better. Also you should spend as much time as possible playing, not only is it fun but a stress reliever as well. Keep fighting the good fight!

Dear Jim -

Please hang in there. I know that it IS going to get better.

I missed the blog where all the comments were about how wonderful Judy is, and I can't let that slide. Gwyneth Paltrow will have a tough job portraying how remarkable she is. You are truly blessed to have each other and your beautiful children.

All my love,

Kita

1) V is right- keep fighting the good fight and playing the good games! (Battleship is always fun for me! And John likes his Star Wars DVD Trivial Pursuit. FiFi likes a game where any object is chucked incessantly...she's special, but it's still fun.

2) Kita is right too. Lately I'm starting to reconsider the whole Paltrow as Judy thing. No offense, she's good looking enough...but I've heard stories she's a bit of a diva (not like in the good Aretha Franklin kind of way, more like the bad Star Jones kind of way) and it just doesn't fit our Judy. I see more Nicole Kidman or Naomi Watts. But hey, it's your movie.

Anyhoo, hope you feel better soon!
Love,
Jenn, John and FiFi.

You should be spending a lot of time thinking about yourself and your condition, right? It's the best way to stay in tune with the subtle changes that only you can detect in your body, which is really important. Not to sound too Pollyanna about it, but I think it's good in a way, even though I do agree it's good to get your mind off it enough to maintain your sanity.
